With Peter Tork passing away on
February 21, 2019, both Micky Dolenz
and Mike Nesmith felt The Monkees'

featuring Micky and Mike is one way
they can show much respect for Peter
Tork. He learn how to play the piano
at seven years old. Peter Tork was a
professional musician who also just
picked up percussion instruments,
like many shown in this picture.
Peter also had his own signature
guitars. He was known to play
the bass guitar and key boards and
even the French horn, like the song
 Shades of Grey.
     The Evening With The Monkees
     was the theme 45th Anniversary
Reunion Tour of The Monkees to see,
Peter play The French horn as he had
followed Davy Jones as back up in
 Shades of Grey.
Head was a big selling point for this
tour. There was much dancing with
the songs of Head. Peter Tork was
allowed to dance with Davy's third
wife Jessica. Davy was dancing to his
songs with his wife in Head.
Davy sung Porpoise Song with also
Peter Tork as back up.
there was much excitement
This was also the time Michael
Nesmith had Lasik eye surgery or go
blind. This is the true reason why he
wasn't able to tour with his band mates:
Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, and Peter
Tork. Good Times World  Anniversary
Tour of The Monkees was almost seven
months. It covered five cool countries:
United States, England, Canada, also
New Zealand for the first time. Then
returning to Australia since 1969. So
Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz did
this on their own. Mike Nesmith did a
Skype in New York and two dates in
California, while Peter Tork and Micky
Dolenz did most of the tour.

       Peter Tork composed the song,
For Pete's Sake. In The Monkees episode
when Mike Nesmith compose a song. The
band tried to get the guy who was stealing
Mike's song. They were in a movie studio
with big cameras made for television. While
on top of this studio, Peter Tork's  For Pete
Sake was being sung. The song For Pete Sake
was also sung at the end for the show when
they show the credits for the second season.
        Peter Tork's Antie Grizelda comical
song played  in I Was a Teenager Munster,
also the second episode were they had to stay
in mansion of man that died and will them
the piano.
Peter Tork played Auntie Grizelda in
public all the time at concert tours and the
fans ate it up.
Peter Tork in 2015 with Micky Dolenz
sung a deep version on Deep DW Washburn
which was done very well.
Peter Tork was the one who sung the word,
"train,"after Micky Dolenz sung lead of their
first number one song: "Last  Train To-
Clarksville. The way Peter sung the word,
"train," was done in harmony with the rest of
the song: " Last Train To Clarksville.
Peter Tork loved playing his banjo,in which
"Cripple Creek,"a very old sung from the west.
It was Peter Tork than wanted The Monkees
reunion more the rest. In 1975 when a possible
reunion happen he was on board if it happened.
However a promoter was trying to get the
owner of The Monkees to lease the rights of
The Monkees in 1986. He paid $3,500 to try to
get them back together in touring as the group.
Peter Tork was the first ask and said yes. Now
both Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz lived in
England. The promoter told it was just going to
be three and a half months. Davy Jones married
to his second wife, thought that would not be to
much from home. He said yes and then Micky
also said yes. Mike Nesmith was behind a
camera filming "Square Dance,"he told them,
he wasn't able tour, because this obligation.
Something big was going to happen that
would make this a big Reunion of The Monkees.
What was that? MTV would play all of their
The Monkees episodes 24 hours a day. This had
cause Monkeemania of all young ones watching
the show with their parents. It was so large that
The Monkees had to add dates and find stadiums
and other large buildings to make all the fans
happy. This caused The Monkees World Wide
Reunion Come Back Tour be almost eight months.
Now Michael Nesmith told the guys that he
hopes for the best with  the reunion tour. Mike
when he had time, went to The Monkees 1986
Reunion Tour in Texas in a disguise. He could
not say enough about how well The Monkees
had done. Michael Nesmith did more. He had
told a Pittsburgh paper, he was in disguise at
the Texas concert. Next he called his favorite
Monkee, Micky Dolenz saying he was in
disguise at the Texas concert.
Now The Monkees reunion started with a
new song "That Was Then This Is Now," that
went to Billboard at #20 on Arista label, which
the single 45 was in a pink cover with the cover
jacket in  hot pink with The Monkees in black.
The album, a 33 LP, on Arista, that says :
"That Was Then This As Now The Greatest Hits-
Of The Monkees.
Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz were the only
ones singing on that new song.
The B side was "Kicks"with Micky Dolenz
singing about beware of using drugs. This was
originally sung by the Paul Revere and the -
Raiders, as the lead singer Mark Lindsey had
sung.
Michael Nesmith returns in early in September
to rehearse with his fellow Monkee brothers. Now
he's gone. As The shows is towards it's end a man
quietly walk towards The Monkees. He has his
twelve string guitar. It's Michael Nesmith! Now the
crowds are in a uproar! Their is a loud thunderous
applause! The Monkees finish by playing Peter's
favorite, "Pleasant  Valley Sunday," which he loves
since it has a cool guitar riff in the song.
After Michael plays "Pleasant Valley Sunday"
they play Michael Nesmith's song he composed.
What was the song? "Listen To The Band,"that
Davy Jones. Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and Michael
Nesmith is playing to end the show.
The Monkees are pleased with their reunion with
almost eight months of touring. They follow this up
in 1987 with a all brand new songs.Rhino Records
is the label entitled "Pool It" 33 LP with the cool
song" Heart and Soul" was also the name of their
1987 World Tour. As usual, Nesmith wasn't present,
supported The Monkees: Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz,
and Peter Tork .
In Sacramento a radio station was giving a chance
to win a prize having fun with The Monkees in a cool
swimming pool. The tour was another success.
One little young girl had won a prize to eat with
The Monkees. I do have pictures in black and white
with Peter Tork is next to this young girl at a table in
a diner. Peter Tork was wearing their official silk cool
periwinkle jackets The Monkees wore. In fact back
then they wanted their original band uniforms with
eight buttons from 1966 in this color.
